“Beyond Horizons: Hungarian Gala of Taste & Culture” Celebrates Growing Ties Between Hungary and Thailand
Bangkok, Thailand – The Hungarian-Thai Chamber of Commerce (HunCham) recently hosted a spectacular “Beyond Horizons: Hungarian Gala of Taste & Culture” at the Hyatt Regency Sukhumvit Bangkok, marking a vibrant celebration of the deepening connection between Hungary and Thailand.
The prestigious event welcomed a distinguished gathering of business and industry leaders, alongside presidents and representatives from numerous foreign chambers of commerce. Notable VIP attendees included Mr. Sanan Angubolkul, Chairman of The Thai Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade; Ms. Vibeke Lyssand Leirvag, Chair of the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Thailand; and Dr. Nalinee Taveesin, President of Thai Trade Representatives.
His Excellency Ambassador Sandor Sipos of Hungary delivered the keynote address, offering insightful perspectives on the burgeoning relationship between the two nations. Following this, Mrs. Pojjana Paniangvait, President of The Hungarian-Thai Chamber of Commerce, warmly welcomed all attendees with an opening speech.
In her address, Mrs. Pojjana emphasized HunCham’s clear mission to act as a crucial bridge fostering connections across the business and cultural spheres of Hungary and Thailand. She stated, “Our core objectives are built upon four key pillars: promoting trade and investment, facilitating cultural exchange, encouraging tourism activities, and fostering educational opportunities. We firmly believe that by focusing on these areas, we can cultivate a robust and enduring partnership that brings mutual benefits to both our countries.”
Guests were treated to captivating Hungarian folk dances and music throughout the evening. The dinner menu featured the iconic Hungarian goulash and a selection of exquisite Hungarian wines, providing a true taste of Hungarian culture.
Established in May 2023 with the strong support of the Embassy of Hungary, HunCham is a newly formed chamber of commerce dedicated to strengthening the bonds between Hungary and Thailand.
